1. Tbilisi

4. Kazbegi

Drive the spectacular Military Highway to Kazbegi, a mountain region in the High Caucasus with peaks of more than 4000 meters. Walk to the famous Gergeti church for great views of Mt Kazbegi.


5. Gori

In Gori you will find one of the most bizarre museums in the world: it is dedicated to Joseph Stalin, the Communist despot who was born here. His birthplace has been recreated and halls are dedicated to the "blessings" of his reign. Gori even has a large statue of this tyrant.


6. Martvili Canyon

On the way from Kutaisi to the High Caucasus, don't miss the Martvili Canyon. For millions of years, the Abasha River has carved a fantastic gorge here in limestone rocks, with caves and waterfalls.
